How quickly can we get started?
Catalyst is delivered through a simple subscription model and can be deployed quickly, with most teams up and running the next day. Most users need no additional implementation to start trading and there are no additional set up costs.
How does Catalyst integrate with exchanges and brokers?
Catalyst integrates with major energy trading venues including: - ICE - CME - Trading Technologies - Trayport Broker trades are entered immediately and automatically reconciled with exchange confirmations once reported for clearing.
How accurate is the risk and position data?
Catalyst's event-driven architecture ensures that all position changes are processed accurately and in order. Pricing and delivery calendars are checked and tested regularly to prevent errors. All of this makes sure that your position and risk are accurate.
Can Catalyst handle complex trades and fills?
Yes. Catalyst is designed to handle complex voice brokered trades such as cross product or fly trades as simply as possible. Fills can be received broken down by volume, period or counterparty. The system reconciles these automatically as long as the underlying exposure and PnL impact match.
How fast are updates to positions and PnL?
Position, exposure and PnL updates are delivered in real time. Trade capture and reconciliation occur in milliseconds, with typical position updates reaching your screen within 150 milliseconds of exchange confirmation.
How is the platform deployed and secured?
Catalyst is hosted on AWS and deployed within secure environments - either with dedicated private infrastructure or a secure multi tenant setup. Both options feature virtual private networking, role based permissions and a zero trust architecture.
Does Catalyst replace internal systems?
Catalyst is designed to replace or augment in house trading and risk systems. It removes the need to build and maintain internal tools while providing professional grade functionality.
